Regals Volleyball Travel to CMS for SCIAC Tournament Semis

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University women's volleyball earned the No. 4 seed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament and will hit the road to take on No. 1 Claremont-M-S on Thursday at 7 p.m. 

The SCIAC Tournament championship will then take place on Saturday, November 6. The other semifinal pits No. 2 Pomona-Pitzer against No. 3 Chapman. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game. 

The SCIAC will charge admission for its championship events, with tickets available through Ticketleap in advance (Ticketleap link here), which are $8 for adults, or free for children under 12 (students with SCIAC ID also receive free admission). Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $10. The live video stream will be run through the SCIAC's web portal (SCIACtv).

First Team All-SCIAC honoree Maci Haddad leads the way with 274 kills and 110 total blocks. She is averaging 2.95 kills per set, with a .361 clip, and has totaled 347 points on the year. Cal Lutheran has three more Regals with 100-plus kills as Kennedy Crane (163), Morgan Given (156) and Miranda Chan (101) have each eclipsed the century mark. 

Splitting time at the setter position is Jenna Jones and Tess Holbert. Jones has 439 assists and leads the team with 38 aces. Holbert is right behind her with 435 assists and has 20 aces. 

Isabella Wade, Second Team All-SCIAC, has been a force on defensive end, totaling 435 digs. Julia Trento is next with 217 and Jones, Crane and Holbert each have over 140.
