ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Kemi Dijkstra was named First Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and Izzy De Souza was second team, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
All-SCIAC – Conference Release
Dijkstra (Breda, Netherlands) earned her second All-SCIAC honor and added a First Team honor to her accomplishments. She was Second Team in 2022. In conference play, the graduate scored 25 goals, and dished out 15 assists, for a total of 40 points. She added 22 steals and 11 drawn ejections.
De Souza (Irvine, Calif.) picked up the Second Team honor for the second time in her caereer. She has been All-SCIAC every year since joining Cal Lutheran, making it three times. The junior started all 12 conference games in goal and had a record of 8-4. In 328 minutes, she made 131 saves with 85 goals-against. She recorded a save percentage of .606 and had a goals-against-average of 8.29. She added 22 steals and five assists.
The duo helped Cal Lutheran to the No. 3 seed in the SCIAC Tournament. The Regals hit the road for a semifinal match on Friday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The game is set for 7 p.m.
