Holley Named Women’s Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University student-athlete Janna Holley was selected Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning.

Holley (Winnetka, Calif.) was named the Women's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week. It is her Athlete of the Week award. In her first collegiate game, she helped lead Cal Lutheran to a 82-81 win against Antelope Valley. Holley was perfect from the field as she scored 17 points. She made all six shots, added 5-7 free throws, and dished out a game high seven assists. With 18 seconds left, and down by one point, Cal Lutheran called a timeout to draw up a play. With seven seconds left, Holley found Naomi Gipson for the game-winning bucket as the Regals started their season in exciting fashion.

The Regals are back in action on Dec. 1. Cal Lutheran welcomes Bethesda to Gilbert Arena with tip-off set for 6 p.m.
