Kingsmen, Regals Release 2018 Schedule

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The 2018 men's and women's cross country seasons are highlighted by five regular season meets and concludes with NCAA Regionals and then the Championships.

"We are excited for the schedule that we have put together for this year's team," said head men's and women's cross country coach Matt Lea. "It's a little different from the past and we are pleased with how it panned out. It will be nice to have a few different meets and locations from years past and I know the team will like that as well."

The Kingsmen and Regals start their 2018 campaign at the Mark Covert Classic on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 8:30 a.m. The meet is hosted by Cal State Fullerton at Carbon Canyon Park in Brea, Calif.

Two weeks later on Saturday, Sept. 16, the Violet and Gold travel to Riverside, Calif., for the UC Riverside Invitational. The meet starts at 7:30 a.m. at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course. After another two-week break, CLU continues the season Saturday, Sept. 29, with the Master's Invitational. The Invitational is at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Calif., and starts at 7:45 a.m.

The teams get their first look at Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition as they travel to Claremont, Calif., for the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational. The meet is held at the Pomona College Campus Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7:45 a.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, Cal Lutheran travels to Chino Hills, Calif., for the SCIAC Championships. The Championships start at 9:00 a.m. at Prado Park.

Following the regular season, competition continues with the NCAA Division III West Regional races on Saturday, Nov. 10 hosted by Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., at 9:00 a.m. Qualifiers advance to the NCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 17, in Oshkosh, Wis., hosted by Wisconsin Oshkosh.
