THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Saturday morning inside the Lundring Events Center at the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center was full of memories and nostalgic conversation as five former Cal Lutheran student-athletes were inducted into the Alumni Association Athletic Hall of Fame.
Among those honored were Brian Collins '98 (men's soccer), Britlyn Garrett '12 (women's track and field), Allison Kerr '11 (women's volleyball), Donald Price '87 (men's track and field) and Meredith (Butte '10) Shirk (women's water polo). Also inducted was Eric Flores '12 (men's track and field) who will be recognized at the next induction ceremony because of travel conflicts for today.
The 2017 ceremony marked the 14th induction class since the inception of the HOF. The event now takes place every other year and the next induction ceremony is scheduled for 2019.
