TYLER, Texas – The Cal Lutheran men's golf team won the Al and Nancy Jones Memorial and the women's team tied for fourth. The tournament was held Monday and Tuesday as the men played 54 holes and the women played 36. The Kingsmen played at Hollytree Country Club and the Regals were at the Cascades Golf Club.

The Kingsmen fired a 300 in the final round, the second-best on the day, as they won the tournament (out of six teams) with an overall score of 54-over-par (309-309-300-918).
Cal Lutheran's Stefan Nelson moved up five spots during the final round and finished the tournament at 12-over par (228 strokes) and in a tie for tenth-place (out of 53). He fired a one-over-par (73) in the final round after shooting a 78 in the first and a 77 in the second.
Fellow teammate, Tyler Ferrier, was one stroke behind Nelson and tied for 12th. He finished with a three-round score of 229. He shot a 73 in the first, but an 81 in the second before bouncing back with a 75 in the third. He moved up one spot during the final 18 holes.
CLU's Slater Sivage and Drake Jones rounded out the team score. Sivage tied for 21st at 18-over-par (80-77-77-234) while Jones tied for 27th at 20-over-par (78-83-75-236). Also competing for the Kingsmen was JT Snowden who finished the tournament in 31st-place at 22-over-par (84-74-80-238) and individualist Ricardo Torres who tied for 37th at 27-over-par (87-77-79-243).
The University of Texas at Tyler won the tournament at 40-over-par (305-304-295-904). The Kingsmen were second with 918 strokes. Schreiner University came in third at 56-over-par (320-297-303-920). UT Tyler's Hayden Montoya claimed individualist honors at one-under-par (75-72-68-215). Tyler Junior College's Ethan Bozner was the runner-up at two-over-par (75-76-67-218). UT Tyler's Harris Butler came in third at four-over-par (72-76-72-220).
Regals Golf (Team Leaderboard | Player Leaderboard)
The only team movement on day two came when the Regals moved up one spot and into a tie for fourth-place, out of 10 teams, with a two-round score 80-over-par (332-324-656).
Cal Lutheran's Marissa McCardell shot a four-over-par 76 and moved up six spots throughout the final round to tie for eighth-place. For the tournament, she tied for the most pars (25) and the best scoring average on par-four holes (4.17).
The Violet and Gold's Chloe Barnes also moved up six spots while teammate Courtney Martin moved up four spots to finish tied for 17th and tied for 19th, respectively. Barnes finished the tournament at 20-over-par (83-81-164) and Martin was right behind her at 21-over-par (85-80-165). Barnes was one of two golfers to record an eagle.
CLU's Delaney Buck rounded out the team score as she shot a 27-over-par (86-85-171). Erica Mitchell also competed for the Regals and came in 38th-place at 28-over-par (86-86-172). Mitchell led the team with four birdies.
Southwestern placed three women in the top-five and won the team title as the Pirates finished at 37-over-par (309-304-613). University of Texas at Tyler was second at 55-over-par (316-315-631) and Hardin-Simmons was third at 71-over-par (318-329-647). Centenary's Jessica Varner won the individualist honors at three-over-par (75-72-147). Southwestern's Emily Campbell (76-74-150) and Valentina Olivieri (75-77-152) placed second and third, respectively.
