THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California Lutheran head swimming and diving coach Tom Dodd is retiring after 15 successful seasons at the helm of the Kingsmen and Regals.

Dodd has been the head coach since the inception of the swimming and diving program in 2003.

He has led student-athletes to the NCAA championships and they have garnered multiple NCAA All-America First Team and Honorable Mention honors. He has also helped individuals become SCIAC champions and All-SCIAC selections.

"Tom has been instrumental in designing, supporting and executing aquatic operations for the Samuelson Aquatics Center," said Cal Lutheran Athletics Director Dan Kuntz. "He has a wealth of experience as a top level collegiate coach.

"Most importantly though, Tom Dodd is the best of colleagues, is deeply caring, dedicated, hard-working and a professional who loves CLU, CLU swimming and is totally invested in his profession."

Cal Lutheran will begin the search for a new head coach soon.
