ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – This afternoon the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the Week Two Athlete of the Week honorees and senior Cal Lutheran quarterback Adam Friederichsen was selected as the Football AOW.

Over the weekend, Friederichsen had his second consecutive standout performance for the Kingsmen, guiding CLU to a 2-0 start on the gridiron in non-conference play, helping the Violet and Gold to remain the only undefeated team in the league standings.

On Saturday afternoon at Willamette (Ore.), Friederichsen was 14-for-15 in the first half and finished 23-for-30 for 286 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-13 victory. His longest completion of the day was 54 yards to his favorite target, Aaron Lacombe.

To date in his final campaign, Friederichsen has been accurate 69.1 percent of the time (38-for-55) for 563 yards with six touchdowns for the Kingsmen in a pair of games.

In week one on Sept. 11, senior Molly Holloway (women's volleyball) and senior Brandon Kearney (men's soccer) were selected for their respective sports.

The SCIAC Athlete of the Week series is released each Monday throughout the academic year.
