Lossangoye, Murphy Team Up at Pacific Coast Doubles Championship

SAN DIEGO Darvel Lossangoye and Ryan Murphy represented California Lutheran University men's tennis as they competed together at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship at Lo Jolla Beach and Tennis Club over the weekend.

The duo saw competition from Division I schools like Stanford and UCLA. The championship was held Friday through Sunday. The team of Lossangoye and Murphy were the only Kingsmen at the championship.

The Purple and Gold fell in their opening round match 4-0, 4-1, and moved to the consolation side of the bracket. 

Lossangoye and Murphy started their consolation run off on a high note as they defeated their opponent 4-2, 5-4 (7-4), in the consolation round of 64 qualifier.

After a bye in the consolation round of 64, the duo advanced to the consolation round of 32 with hopes of heading to the round of 16. The duo had their run come to a close in the round of 32 as the fell 4-0, 5-3.

The Kingsmen get back to it on March 14th at home. Cal Lutheran welcomes Hardin-Simmons for a dual at noon.
