Kingsmen Swept By Mammoths

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Kingsmen tennis hosted previously ranked No. 5 Amherst in Poulson Tennis Center this afternoon. The Kingsmen were swept 9-0.

The mammoths took all three doubles sets from the Kingsmen to start off the afternoon. Darvel Lossangoye and Ryan Murphy were the closet Kingsmen doubles team but were outscored 8-3.

Parker McBride pushed his singles match to three sets but it wasn't enough to get him into the win column. McBride was bested 6-7, came back to tie it with a 6-1 win, but lost the third set 1-10.

The only other Kingsmen to push to three sets was Griffin Biernet. He lost 3-6, took the second set 6-4, and was finally beat 7-10 in set three.

Head coach Mike Gennette said that today's match was a level up for the Kingsmen and helped to prepare them for the tough competition they face this weekend.

The Kingsmen return to the court on Saturday at 10 am as they host No. 17 Redlands.
