Kingsmen Unable To Upset Bulldogs; Lossangoye Takes Wins In Both Doubles And Singles

Thousand Oaks, Calif. – The Kingsmen hosted No. 17 Redlands in the Poulson Tennis Center at 10 am. The Bulldogs went home with the 7-2 win.

Darvel Lossangoye was the only Kingsmen not bested by the Bulldogs. Lossangoye and Ryan Murphy had a comeback win in their doubles match. They started the day off with an 8-5 victory.

Lossangoye went on to win his individual match in the No. 1 spot in comeback fashion as well. Lossangoye went down early with the 3-6 loss but clawed back to win 7-6 in the second set and 6-2 in the third.

Griffin Biernat and Ben Vincze almost took their doubles match but came up short 6-8. Parker McBride and Aaron Moylan were also left empty handed after losing 5-8.

Biernat took the first set of his singles match but was then beat out by the Bulldog opponent. Nick Griffin almost had a come from behind victory as well. Griffin lost 4-6 in the first set, won 6-3 in the second, and took it to a tiebreaker in the third where he lost 6-7.

It was a good day of competition for the Purple and Gold. They turn around and host Pacific at 11 am on Monday.
