Kingsmen Lead After Doubles, Can’t Hold On Against Caltech

PASADENA, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's tennis was on top after doubles play, but couldn't hold on as they were defeated by Caltech 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. 

Parker McBride and Aaron Moylan won 8-7 (8-6) at the No. 1 doubles spot and Darvel Lossangoye and Friedrich Ludwig were victorious 8-5 at the No. 3. The Beavers got one point as Jacob de la Paz and Cade Haffner fell 7-8 (6-8) at the No. 3.

In singles play, Lossangoye had the only win as he took the No. 2 spot with a score of 6-0, 7-5. The Beavers took the rest of the points and the match. McBride fell 5-7, 7-6 (4), 3-6 at the No. 1, Moylan lost 4-6, 6-4, 2-6 at the No.3, de la Paz fell 3-6, 1-6 at the No. 4, Haffner lost 3-6, 3-6 at the No. 5, and Ludwig fell 1-6, 2-6. 

The Kingsmen are back in action on Tuesday. Cal Lutheran hosts Occidental at 3 p.m.
