Kingsmen Start Hawaii Trip with D2 Hawaii At Hilo

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's tennis took on Division II opponent Hawaii Hilo on Friday afternoon. The Kingsmen were defeated 8-1. 

The Kingsmen are on their Hawaii trip and started with the Vulcans. They will also take on Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific. 

The lone win came at singles as Parker McBride won at the No. 1 spot. He won in straight sets, taking down his opponent 6-4, 7-5. 

The dual started with doubles as the Vulcanos took all three. McBride and Aaron Moylan fell 4-6 at the No.1, Jacob de la Paz and Cade Haffner lost 2-6 at the No. 2, and Friedrich Ludwig and Jake Anderson were defeated 3-6. 

In singles, Moylan lost 2-6, 2-6 at the No.2, de la Paz fell 2-6, 1-6 at the No. 3, Haffner was defeated 1-6, 4-6, Ludwig lost 3-6, 2-6, and Shawn Rothermel was defeated 3-6, 2-6. 

The Kingsmen are back in action on Tuesday. Cal Lutheran takes on Hawaii at 6:30 a.m. PST.
