REDLANDS, Calif. — Zaria Opara record two marks on the all-time list and Veronica Redpath added one as California Lutheran University Women's Track and Field competed at the Redlands Invitational on Friday. 

The Regals made their mark in aplenty of categories as the team placed in the top-10 of 14 events. 

Opara moved up in the record book for the hammer and then cracked the top-10 list for the shot pot. Her distance of 45.61 meters in the hammer moved her to sixth place and her mark of 11.24 meters in the shot put was 10^th-best. 

Redpath broke into the record book for the 3000-meter run. She turned in a third-place finish in the event, and eighth on Cal Lutheran's all-time list, with a time of 10 minutes and 42.95 seconds. Claire Caldera added the only other podium finish of the day and was third in the javelin with 29.26 meters.  

Three Regals placed fourth in their event and another was fifth, making it six Regals with top-five finishes.

Jolie Caya was fourth in the 100 hurdles with 15.86, Hannah Sewall was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with 1:13.09, Opara was fourth in the hammer with 45.61 meters and Lexi Cox was fifth in the triple jump with 9.45 meters. 

The Purple and Gold continued to turn in top-10 finishes as Fatima Cervantes was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:16.21), Taylor Kemp was sixth in javelin (26.38m), Opara was sixth in the shot put (11.24m), Cervantes was seventh in the triple jump (9.12m), Sarah Bjornson was eighth in the 100 hurdles (17.23) and high jump (1.50m), Cora Hautekeete was eighth in the 800-meter run (2:35.85), Caya was eight in the long jump (4.90m), Jasmyne Santamaria Holliday was ninth in the 100 dash (12.84), McKenzie Gerken was ninth in the hammer (37.83m), Opara was ninth in the discus (35.61m), Cassidy Fukuda was 10^th in the 400-meter run (1:07.82) and Cervantes was 10^th in the high jump (1.45m). 

The Regals continue the season with conference action. Cal Lutheran is at the SCIAC Multi-Dual #2 on April 2 at 10 a.m.
