The Kingsmen weren't able to open the game fast, but quickly tied it 3-3. Hope International was able to trade shots back-and-forth as both teams stayed neck and neck. Just as the Kingsmen were behind 14-12, they managed to make a comeback and took the first set.

The Royals opened the second set and continued to trade shots with the Kingsmen as they had the lead. The Kingsmen were able to pull into an early lead going from 9-7 to 15-8. Cal Lutheran kept their momentum going as they dominated the court and claimed the second set 25-15.

The Kingsmen kept their pace up as they opened the third set with a point. The Royals refused to fold as they matched every kill the Kingsmen served. Cal Lutheran managed to narrowly pull ahead as the Royals fell 25-18 in the third and final.

The Kingsmen's next game will be against St. Norbert on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 p.m.
