THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's soccer suffered its first conference loss as the Kingsmen fell to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 1-0 on Saturday night.

The Kingsmen were the last SCIAC school without a conference loss and are now 3-1-1 and 4-2-3 overall.

Davis Sharts was in goal for the Kingsmen and made five saves. The defense made its mark on the game until the Sagehens finally broke through. Pomona-Pitzer scored in the 81st minute and it was up to the Kingsmen offense to answer.

Offensive opportunities were scarce on both sides. Cal Lutheran had four shots on goal with Christian Gonzalez, JP Melgoza, Jackson Endsley and Giovanni Torres all getting a chance.

In the end, the lone Sagehens' score was the only one as Pomona-Pitzer stole the game in the last 10 minutes.

The Kingsmen look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday. Cal Lutheran is at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 7 p.m.
