Lumbrano, Torres, Johnston Score as Kingsmen Tie Stags

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Igor Lumbrano, Giovanni Torres and Aidan Johnston all scored, but it wasn't enough as Cal Lutheran men's soccer tied Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 3-3 on Wednesday night. 

With the tie, the Kingsmen are now 4-2-4 overall and 3-1-2 in SCIAC while the Stags are 4-3-5 and 4-1-2.

The first half saw lots of action and it started with CMS in the 23rd minute. Cal Lutheran did not wait that long to answer as Lumbrano scored the equalizer in the 29th

The Stags took the lead back almost immediately, scoring a goal in the 31st minute and took the 2-1 lead in the half. 

The Kingsmen evened the game up early in the second half. Torres made it 2-2 in the 49th minute as the teams continued to exchange goals. Juan Valencia got the assist as he crossed a beautiful ball to Torres.

The second half saw the same amount of goals as the first. The Kingsmen took their first lead of the game as Johnston scored in the 74th minute with the assist coming from JP Melgoza.

The Stags weren't done as they scored in the 82nd minute to force a tie.

The Kingsmen continue their season on the road. Cal Lutheran is at La Verne on Saturday at 7 p.m.
