ORANGE, Calif. — Cal Lutheran goalkeeper Davis Sharts recorded his fourth shutout of the year as Kingsmen soccer and the Chapman Panthers played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday afternoon.

The Kingsmen have not lost in five straight matches, going 3-0-2 over that stretch. They shut out their third straight conference opponent and have outscored their conference opponents 7-1. Cal Lutheran is now 4-1-3 overall and 3-0-1 in conference.

Sharts played all 90 minutes and made six saves to keep the clean sheet. The Kingsmen defense did its part as the offense tried to deliver.

The offense kept the shots coming, with 12 in all, and eight on goal. JP Melgoza and Matt Myers both tallied two and Chris Pelaez, Preston Fleming, Daniel Fujiwara and Adrian Graciano all had one.

The shots were almost even on the night as Chapman took one less and had 11. Cal Lutheran had their chances with five corner kicks compared to Chapman's 1, but could not convert. After 90 minutes of play, the game was a draw.

The Kingsmen look to get back in the win column at home. Cal Lutheran welcomes Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
