Kingsmen Finish Cal-Lu-fornia Tournament In Sweeping Fashion

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Kingsmen volleyball ended their Cal-Lu-fornia tournament with a sweep against Baldwin Wallace. 

The Purple and Gold took set one 25-19 and tallied 12 kills. Both the second and the third set were in favor of the Kingsmen 25-16. Set two had a match high 13 kills while set three ended with another seven kills. 

Ben Weber led the Kingsmen offense with 13 kills and an additional four digs. Borys Horiuk had a .556 hitting percentage as he tacked on six kills and three block assists. 

Jake Tucker found himself all over the stat sheet and contributed to the team's win with five kills, seven digs, two assists, and one ace. Dylan Schreibfeder was next in line with three kills on three attempts. Schreibfeder also contributed with two block assists. 

Freshman Taylor Marks has found his place on the court and looks comfortable up on the net. Marks had a .667 hitting percentage and tallied four kills. Marks dished out 20 assists, had six digs, one block assist and one ace. 

Holding it down on the defensive end was Eli Moore with 12 digs. 

The Kingsmen competed in 5 games this week and finished it with a 2-1 record in their Cal-Lu-fornia tournament. 

The Purple and Gold return to the court on Monday in Illinois to take on North Central at 5 pm PST.
