Marks And Tucker Combine for 24 Kills; Kingsmen Come Up Empty On First Game In Virginia

Arlington, Virginia – The Kingsmen packed their bags and shipped off to Virginia for their East Coast debut. It was a tough first game as the Kingsmen walked away on the back end of a 3-0 loss.

It stayed close in the first match as the Kingsmen had 13 kills. They weren't able to shut down Marymount's offense and gave up the first set 25-19.

In the second set the Purple and Gold still weren't able to gain enough traction. They ended the set with the same score of 19-25 and tallied 11 kills.

The Kingsmen weren't done fighting to pick one off from the Mariners. They kept it even closer this set and were shy by just three points. They tallied a game high 14 kills.

Logan Marks and Jake Tucker, both starting sophomores for the Kingsmen, had 12 kills to their names. This made up more than half of the Kingsmen's offensive points.

Borys Huriuk tacked on six kills with Dylan Schreibfeder right behind him with four kills and two serving aces. Schreibfeder had a kill percentage in the five hundreds.

Taylor Marks led the team in assists with 15 under his belt. Next in line was Jacob Cudiamat with 11 aces and two kills.

Eli Moore and Tucker made up 11 of the 17 digs between the two of them.

The Kingsmen return to the court on Saturday at 12 pm PST against Misericodia.
