Kingsmen Defeat Bearcats for Third Straight Win

GLENSIDE, Pa. — California Lutheran Univeristy men's volleyball won its third straight match as the Kingsmen knocked off Baruch 3-1 on Sunday morning. The sets of the match were 24-26, 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

The Kingsmen went 3-1 on their road trip as they won three straight sets after giving up the first set to the Bearcats. Cal Lutheran improved to 8-4. 

Dylan Schreibfeder controlled the net with 10 kills and five solo blocks. He was joined in the double-digit kills column by Ben Weber as he had 11. Weber added six digs and two aces.

Eric Chabon and Sean Fitzpatrick both tallied seven kills and Borys Horiuk had six more. Chabon had a hitting percentage of .545, Fitzpatrick recorded seven digs and a match-high five aces and Horiuk had three solo blocks. 

Taylor Marks kept the offense moving with 31 assists and Jacob Cudiamat added 12 more. Eli Moore led the defense with nine digs. 

Baruch snuck out the first win as they stole the first set from the Kingsmen. Cal Lutheran improved over the next two sets. Taking the sets handedly 25-16 and 25-10. The Kingsmen kept the pressure on and ended the match in four sets. 

Cal Lutheran is back in California, but still on the road for their next match. The Kingsmen play Hope International on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
