THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen took on their west-region opponents the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys, Tuesday afternoon at home, and added another win to their home record, winning 7-2.
To begin the windy afternoon, senior Yahn Gawrit and sophomore Isaiah Volk, No. one doubles, took their third win in a row as a pair, 8-3.
Senior Florent Auteil and freshman Hitachi Hu, No. two, fell 8-6. Freshman Ryen Wagner and junior Sebastian Ariza, No. three doubles, fell 8-5.
The Kingsmen singles continued their home win starting with Guillaume Ruaud, No. six, winning 6-1 and 6-1.
Following behind, freshman Aaron Moylan, at the No. five position, continued his singles winning streak, 6-4 and 6-1.
At the No. four position, junior Jake Haffner took a win, 6-3 and 6-0. Volk, at No. three, added another win, 6-1 and 6-1.
Senior Ransom Braaten, No. two,concluded his match, winning 6-2 and 6-1, along with fellow senior Gawrit, No. one singles, winning 6-4 and 6-2.
The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen continue their season Saturday, March 16, at 10 AM PST at St. Katherine's, in San Marcos, California.
