Kingsmen Sweep Trinity Bantams 9-0

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen kicked off spring break with a 9-0 sweep over the Trinity College Bantams, Friday afternoon.

Opening with doubles play, senior Yahn Gawrit and sophomore Isaiah Volk won 8-4 in No. 1 spot, senior Ransom Braaten and junior Jake Haffner took the No. 2 spot 8-4, and Guillaume Ruaud and freshman Aaron Moylan won 8-4 at No. 3.

Moving on to singles, Gawrit clinched the victory over Trinity 6-0, 6-0 on court one; Braaten won 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 on court two; Volk 6-3, 6-3 on court three; Haffner 6-2, 6-3 on court four; Ruaud 6-1, 6-1 on court five; and Moylan 6-1, 6-2 on court six to wrap things up.

The victory moves the Kingsmen to a four-game winning slide and 6-5 record overall on the year. The team returns to action on Sunday, March 24, against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes at 1 p.m.
