Kingsmen Sail Past Leopards On Senior Day; 22-7 Win

Thousand Oaks, Calif. – The Kingsmen honored seven seniors today before their 22-7 win against the La Verne Leopards.

The game started with a quick 3-1 lead from the Kingsmen. They had momentum and continued to put goals in the back of the net. They ended the first quarter 6-2 with a goal by senior keeper Andre Rivas. There was three seconds left on the clock and Rivas had the ball in his hands. He saw the Leopards keeper out of position and launched a shot from his own cage to score as the horn went off.

The second quarter had just as much scoring as the first and senior Parker Jory tallied five goals by the time it was over. He ended with six goals on eight attempts, leading the Kingsmen in scoring for the day.

The Kingsmen continued to dominate and outscored the Leopards 7-2 in the third quarter. They put up three more goals in the fourth quarter to put together 22 goals total.

Senior Trevor Campbell and teammate Taylor Garcia found the back of the net three times each while seniors Wyatt Lowe and Stephen Blaauw were right behind with two.

Five more players scored for the Kingsmen making it 10 total.

Rivas recorded nine saves total with one steal and two assists. Jonathan Salandi, another senior recognized today, played the second half and recorded 10 saves. He added one assist to the offense.

Cormac Flanders, Lowe, and Blaauw had three steals each. Ben Brown was right behind them with two steals of his own. Tommy Riffle, a sophomore for the Kingsmen, had one steal and one goal.

Brown had seven assists throughout the four quarters and Jory was behind him with four himself.
