THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California Lutheran University men's water polo improved to 5-0 in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play as the Kingsmen took care of the Caltech Beaver 19-6 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Kingsmen are one of two undefeated teams in the SCIAC, with Pomona-Pitzer being the other. Overall, Cal Lutheran improved to 12-2. The most wins the Kingsmen have ever had in a season is 16. The Purple and Gold look to break that as they have 12 games are left in the regular season.

Cal Lutheran led from start to finish, going up 4-0 to start the game, and ended the first quarter with a 6-1 lead. The Kingsmen pushed the lead to 10 at the break and had a commanding 13-3 advantage. In the second half, many underclassmen got experience and took advantage of the opportunity, as the team coasted to victory.

Parker Jory led the way with a hat trick and Wyatt Lowe, Dillon Goldsmith Luke Matthies. The Kingsmen shared the ball as 13 different athletes scored.

The Kingsmen moved the ball around as Goldsmith and Trevor Campbell led the squad with four assists each.

Daniel Johnson was in the cage and he combined with the defense to only allow six goals. On the other side, he made 11 saves as Matthies and Cormac Flanders both had two steals.

The Kingsmen look to push their SCIAC winning streak to six games as they host Occidental on Saturday at 11 a.m.
