Kingsmen Dominate In The Pool Against The Leopards

LA VERNE, Calif. – The Kingsmen water polo defeated the Leopards 16-7 in their Saturday morning match up.

The scoring started early for the Kingsmen as they tallied their first goal in the first 90 seconds. Stephen Blaauw was the one who found the back of the cage first. Right behind him was another goal by Dillon Goldsmith to put then up 2-0.

Ben Brown and Parker Jory each tacked on another goal in the first period putting them up 4-1 after the first eight minutes.

Just under a minute into the second quarter they open up the scoring again. David Brandt assisted Blaauw for his second goal of the game. Goldsmith matched Blaauw's two goals by getting another one for himself not even half way through the second quarter.

To get the seventh goal of the game, the Kingsmen were passing the ball effortlessly around the leopards right in front of their goal. Brown put it in the back of the net for his second goal of the game.

Two more Kingsmen get their name on the stat sheet when recording the 8th goal. Nathan March assisted Cole Weiderman for his first goal of the game. Justin Krause finishes off the scoring in the first half with a goal that put them up 9-3.

After the half, Goldsmith assisted teammate Wyatt Lowe for his first ball in the back of the net this game. Less than a minute and a half later, Blaauw got his third goal with an assist from Krause.

Sure enough, Blaauw tallied another, making that his fourth of the game and putting the Kingsmen up 12-3. That was it for the scoring in the third quarter – CLU 12 to ULV's 6.

Blaauw put his fifth and final goal in the back of the net during the fourth quarter. To finish off the scoring for the Kingsmen Brown buried another and made the final score 16-7.

The Kingsmen will be back on the road Wednesday the 29th to take on CMS at 4:00 pm.
