Kingsmen Send Four to Occidental Invite

LOS ANGELES — The Cal Lutheran men's track & field team was at the Occidental Invite on Saturday. 

The Kingsmen had four competitors at the meet, with Cooper Curtin, Leroy Stoneham Jr., Jonathan Aguilar, and Eric Talbert making an appearance. 

Curtin led the way and was the runner-up in pole vault. Already holding the program record, Curtin cleared 4.70 meters and finished second. 

Stoneham Jr. made it two Kingsmen in the top-10. He competed in the hammer throw and placed 10th with a heave of 28.13m. 

Aguilar and Talbert both competed in the 5000 meter run. Aguilar placed 92nd as he clocked a time of 15 minutes and 47.58 seconds. Talbert was 97th with 15:56.99. 

With the season winding down, the Kingsmen are competing at final events as they try to qualify for NCAAs and to get into the program record book. Next up, Cal Lutheran is at the APU Last Chance meet.
