COLORADO SPRINGS, CO –Andreas Nybo and Luke Rodarte saw more accolades roll in as they were selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team. The duo was chosen to represent the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran at the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which was unfortunately canceled, also and met the academic standards for the award.

"The individual award recognizes students who achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring GPAs and represent 17,982 student-athletes. Rodarte and Nybo received recognition for their outstanding achievement in the classroom and in the pool during their 2019-20 campaigns.

Earning SCIAC Swimmer of the Year honors was Andreas Nybo (Portola, Valley, Calif.). The junior was selected to represent Cal Lutheran in the 200-yard IM, 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships. Nybo enjoyed a fantastic 2020 campaign where he was victorious in the 200-fly at the SCIAC Championships. He shattered his own school record with his time of 1:47.49 and helped lead the Kingsmen to a third-place finish at the meet.

Accompanying Brewer and Nybo on the list is newcomer Luke Rodarte, hailing from Truckee, Calif. The junior burst onto the scene in his first year at Cal Lutheran, taking the SCIAC by storm in the 200-yard breaststroke. Rodarte would have competed in the 100-breast and 200-breast on the national stage after taking gold in the 100-breast at the SCIAC Championships with his record-breaking time of 54.51.
