Kingsmen Finish Second in Tri-Meet

CLAREMONT, Calif.– The California Lutheran University men's swimming and diving recorded a second-place finish at the tri-meet hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Saturday morning in Claremont, Calif.

RESULTS

The Stags would come out victorious with 74 points while the Kingsmen and Chapman, also competing at the meet, each finished with 58 points on the day.

Earning the first podium finish of the day was the quartet of Miles Gaitan, Andreas Nybo, Zane Booth and Nick Kenny in the 200-yard medley relay with a third-place finish.

Ben Brewer followed it up with a solid time of 10:14.43 in the 1000-yard freestyle to slip into third place and make the podium.

Nybo got back in the pool for the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard breaststroke and recorded a pair of second-place finishes for his team.

Senior Liam McCallum got in on the action with a great time of 22.08 in the 50-yard freestyle, good enough to notch another podium finish.

Brewer continued his day in the distance races and posted yet another third-place finish, this time in the 500-yard freestyle.

Cal Lutheran's next competition will be Nov. 23-24 when they travel to take on Caltech and Occidental.
