Hahn, Logsdon Named SCIAC Athletes of the Week

ALISO VIEJO, Calif.– The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week honorees and Cal Lutheran's Derek Hahn and Brooke Logsdon swept the golf awards.

The duo earned the final SCIAC Athlete of the Week awards as they led their teams to impressive outings at the Schreiner Spring Shootout.

Hahn (Reton, Wash.) earned the first SCIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week of his career. The freshman led the Kingsmen to bronze, out of 11 teams, as the team finished at 15-over-par. Hahn carded a 36-hole score of 144 strokes. He finished Even for his tournament as he shot a 74 in the first and a 2-under-par 70 in the second. 

Logsdon (Simi Valley, Calif.) also earned her first SCIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. The senior helped the Regals take silver, out of 11 teams, as the Purple and Gold tallied a score of 657 over the two rounds. Logsdon placed fourth as she totaled 160 strokes. She shot an 82 in the first and improved to a 78 in the second.

This was the final Athlete of the Week awards of the year.
