ALISO VIEJO, Calif.– The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week honorees and Cal Lutheran's Claire Cornejo and Jeffrey Perry swept the golf awards.

It was the first SCIAC award handed out for both men's and women's golf. The freshmen continued their stellar seasons as the duo each earned their first Athlete of the Week nod.    

Against Division I and II competition, Perry (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) tied for fifth as he recorded a two-day total of 219 strokes and finished 3-over-par. He led Cal Lutheran to a 10th place finish in the field of 16 teams at the CSUSM Invitational. Perry was the top Division III finisher at the tournament and carded a score of 73 in each round. 

Cornejo (Bakersfield, Calif.) helped pace the Regals to a ninth place finish of 11 teams at the Point Loma Invitational which featured a strong field of Division II competition. Cornejo tied for 34th overall carding rounds of 82 and 86 to finish with a two-round total of 168.
