MONTEREY PARK, Calif. — Cole Weiderman made it two Kingsmen with an All-SCIAC honor as he placed third in the 1650-yard freestyle to lead Cal Lutheran men's swimming & diving on day four of the SCIAC Championships on Saturday.
Weiderman recorded a time of 15:47.17 as he made the podium and took bronze.
Over the four-day championships, the Kingsmen set many top-10 marks. The Kingsmen finished seventh with 260 points.
The Kingsmen competed in the finals of five more events. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Nathan Sellers Collin Spargur, Caelan Jack and Joshua Nekoba placed sixth with 3:06.61.
Lincoln Hall raced to the third fastest time in school history in the 200 breaststroke. In the prelims, he recorded a time of 2:05.49 and advanced to the B Final. He placed 11th with 2:06.31.
Kyle Denson took 10th in the 200 backstroke. He recorded a time of 1:56.48. Zane Booth was 14th in the 200 butterfly with 1:56.03 and Jack was 15th in the 200 back with 1:58.85.
In the prelims, the Kingsmen recorded two more top-10 marks. In the 200 back, Jack's time of 1:58.85 was seventh in program history. For the 200 breast, Jake Maher's time of 2:11.67 was eighth.
