Haddad Earns All-Region Team Fourth Time; Only Second Regal to Accomplish Feat

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Maci Haddad made history and is only the second Cal Lutheran women's volleyball player to garner American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region four times. The AVCA announced the All-Region Teams on Thursday morning and Haddad represents Cal Lutheran on Region 10's team.

Haddad is now on a short list that includes herself and Jackie (Russell) Griffin. That's it. The middle blocker continues to etch her name in program history and is up for AVCA All-America honors. The All-America teams will be revealed on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Haddad was the AVCA Freshman of the Year in 2018 and has now been named All-Region every year she has worn the Violet and Gold.

A threat on offense and defense, Haddad is all over the court. This season, she accumulated 297 kills, while hitting with a percentage of .402, and added 96 total blocks. She has also recorded 50 digs, 21 assists and 12 aces. Haddad ranks 11th in the nation for attack percentage, 46th in total blocks and is 54th in blocks per set (0.97).

The AVCA is proud to honor on and off the court successes of our member coaches and their student-athletes through our many awards programs. While there are hundreds of thousands of volleyball players and coaches, only a handful of those can call themselves AVCA award winners.
