Regals Set School Record for 200 Medley Relay at SCIAC Champs

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. — Madi Bodhidatta, Alice Peterson, Tori Portillo and Alana Tamura set the school record in the 200-yard medley relay to lead Cal Lutheran women's swimming and diving on day one at the SCIAC Championships on Wednesday night. 

The quartet posted a blazing time of one minute and 47.68 seconds. It was almost two seconds faster than their previous mark. The group also broke the record back in the fall of 2022. They were just off the podium as they finished fourth. 

Maddie Greig competed on the diving board for the Regals. She made it through 3-meter dive prelims and advanced to the finals. She placed eighth with a score of 330.70. 

In the 800 free relay, Cal Lutheran's "A" team was disqualified for leaving early. The "B" team of  Breann Bracken, Kyrie Fairbairn, Kara Johnson and Nektaria Anagnostou scored points as they placed 13th with 8:17.20

The swim & dive championship are Wednesday through Saturday. They are hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at East Los Angeles College. 

The championships continue with day two on Thursday. The events include women's 1-meter dive prelims, men's 1-meter dive championship, 500 free, 200 individual medley, 50 free and 200 freestyle relay.
