Regals Win Eight Events Versus Panthers; Chapman Takes Dual 156-142

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's swimming & diving won eight events as the Regals came up just short falling to Chapman 156-142 on Saturday afternoon.

The teams competed in the elements, and on top of each other, had to battle the rain. The Regals made great efforts in terrible conditions.

Kendall Moffitt led the way with three individual event wins and one relay win. Moffitt won the 1,000-yard freestyle with 11 minutes and 3.14 seconds, claimed the 200 butterfly with 2:10.62 and took the 500 free with 5:22.68.

Moffitt combined with Madi Bodhidatta, Breann Bracken and Alice Peterson for a win in the 400 free relay with 3:38.30.

Bodhidatta and Peterson claimed two more events each. Bodhidatta took the 50 free and 100 free with 24.44 and 53.47, respectively. Peterson claimed the 200 free with 1:57.59 and the 200 backstroke with 2:14.34.

Cal Lutheran was the runner-up in the 200 medley relay, 100 back, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

The Regals have two weeks off before their next competition. On Jan. 28, Cal Lutheran will host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and La Verne at the Samuelson Aquatics Center.
