Regals Unable to End Pomona-Pitzer's Undefeated Streak

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – California Lutheran Women's Lacrosse hosted the undefeated Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday afternoon. Pomona-Pitzer took the win by a score of 21-1 to continue their undefeated season.

Cal Lutheran senior Sloan Sanders controlled the opening draw, something the Regals have done on the first draw in the majority of their games this season. From there, the Sagehens gained control and seldom relinquished it throughout the game.

Pomona-Pitzer scored 12 goals in the opening quarter. With the running clock in effect, the Sagehens scored 4 more goals in the second quarter while the Regal defense worked hard to move and communicate along with the Sagehen's motion and passing.

The second half saw Cal Lutheran's best quarter as they held the Sagehens to just 1 goal and freshman Hena Koeberl was able to find the back of the net for the Regals. This was Koeberl's 5th goal of the season which puts her into 3rd place in career goals and 2nd place in career points in Cal Lutheran history.

The final quarter was, again, a story of the Sagehens controlling the time of possession. With 4 goals in the quarter, the final score of 21-1 was reached.

The Regals will be back in William Rolland Stadium to play host to Southwestern University on Wednesday at 7:00pm.
