Regals Lose to Undefeated Sagehens

CLAREMONT, Calif. – California Lutheran University women's lacrosse took on the SCIAC leading Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday evening. In what was their second meeting of the season, the Sagehens held the Regals' offense scoreless. The final score of 23-0 kept Pomona-Pitzer undefeated on the season.

The Sagehens did much of their damage early, scoring 11 goals in the first quarter. This kept the clock running for the rest of the matchup.

The second quarter saw the scoring slow with 6 goals scored for Pomona-Pitzer. The teams entered the half with Regals trailing 0-17.

After the half, the Regals were able to hold the Sagehens to 4 goals in the third quarter and just 2 goals in the fourth. This got the final score to 23-0 for Pomona-Pitzer.

The Regals struggled to build offense in the game as they were heavily outshot.

Cal Lutheran will be back home to host the Athenas of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday at 1pm.
