Singh Placed 19th, Kingsmen 15th at Wynlakes Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — California Lutheran University men's golf went from the West Coast to the East Coast and competed at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club on Sunday and Monday.

The Kingsmen shot 18 holes on each day. Par for the course was 72, and featured 18 teams and 95 individuals. 

The Purple and Gold finished 15th. They were consistent over the two days and shot a 312 on day one and 313 on day two. They finished at 49-over-par with 625 strokes. On Par 3s, the Kingsmen tied for the seventh-best scoring average with 3.30. Cal Lutheran also tied for the seventh-most birdies with 24. 

Jot Singh led the way for the Kingsmen and placed 19th at 5-over-par. He got off to a rough start and shot a 77 in round one. He moved up 14 spots on day two, carded an Even, and finished with 149 strokes. 

JP Guimaraes Jr. and Jimmy Solano were next as the duo tied for 46th at 11-over-par. Guimaraes Jr. shot a 78 and 77 to finish with 155 strokes. Solano carded a 75 in round one, but shot an 80 in the second and dropped down the leaderboard. 

Tanner Stewart, Hudson Solters and Adam Cartozian also competed for the Kingsmen. Stewart tied for 66th at 15-over-par (78-81-159), Solters tied for 84th with 22-over-par (82-84-166) and Cartozian was 94th at 34-over-par (92-86-178)

The Kingsmen have one more tournament before getting back into SCIAC play. Cal Lutheran is at The Master's Invitational April 4-5 in Palmdale, Calif.
