VENTURA, Calif. — Freshman Adam Cartozian led the California Lutheran University men's golf team with a three-round score of 5-under-par to place seventh in the CA State Intercollegiate at Olivas Links. His 211 strokes are the second-lowest three-round score in program history.

The tournament was held on Monday and Tuesday with 36 holes on day one and 18 on day two. The event featured 10 teams, with 60 individuals, and had a Par of 72. The Kingsmen totaled a score of 17-over-par (297-291-293-881) and finished seventh.

Cartozian impressed in his first collegiate meet and recorded Par or better in all three rounds. He started his tournament with a 70 and followed it up with a 69, giving him two rounds under Par. He fired a 72 over the final 18 holes for a three-round score of 211.

Junior Derek Hahn, sophomore Garet Needham, freshman Jot Singh and senior Jimmy Solano joined Cartozian and competed for the team score while junior JP Guimaraes Jr., and freshmen Blake Fitzhugh, Zach Rodriguez, Hudson Solters, and William Moser all competed individually.

Moser tied for 14^th at Even (70-74-72-216), Singh (73-72-75-220) and Guimaraes Jr. (71-74-75-220) tied for 23^rd at 4-over-par, Solters tied for 38^th at 8-over-par (77-76-71-224), Rodriguez tied for 41^st at 9-over-par (76-75-74-225), Needham placed 44^th at 10-over-par (77-77-72-226), Fitzhugh (80-75-72-227) and Hahn (77-73-77-227) tied for 45^th at 11-over-par and Solano placed 48^th at 13-over-par (77-78-74-229).

This was the first of three tournaments for the Kingsmen this fall. Cal Lutheran continues their fall season next Monday and Tuesday in the Redlands Invitational at the Redlands Country Club.
