LOS ANGELES, Calif. -A pair of Cal Lutheran alumni, Russell White and Kelli DiMuro, enjoyed successful high school basketball seasons in 2014-15, coaching the Encino Crespi boys' team and the West Hills Chaminade girls' team, respectively, and were selected as the Los Angeles Times Coaches of the Year.
In her 17th season, DiMuro, a 1996 graduate of Cal Lutheran, guided her girls to the CIF Southern Section Open Division championship and finished with a 27-4 record. White, a 1994 graduate of CLU, led his boys to a CIF state Division IV championship and a Southern Section Division 4AA title with a 29-7 record in his ninth season.
While White enjoyed a four-year golf career at CLU he also played as many years of junior varsity basketball. DiMuro was a two-sport athlete, suiting up for the Regals for both volleyball and basketball.
Both have remained involved with the Cal Lutheran community since graduating and have represented the Kingsmen and Regals well.
