Kingsmen Take on Chapman in Exhibition

MOORPARK, Calif. — California Lutheran golfer Tyler Shuster finished first with a score of 1-under-par 71 as the Kingsmen competed against Chapman in an exhibition Thursday at Tierra Rejada Golf Course.

The Kingsmen and Panthers played their second exhibition dual to give golfers more experience. Sixteen golfers, nine from Cal Lutheran and seven from Chapman, got together for the exhibition round. Shuster was the only golfer to shot under-par as he fired a -1.

Cal Lutheran's Drew Christofferson was the runner-up as he finished with a 1-over-par 73. Jack Cavanagh and Brian Helmuth tied for fourth at 4-over-par.

Zane Jarrett was the next Kingsmen as he posted a score of 5-over-par and tied for sixth. Craig Thorlakson was right behind him and placed eighth at six-over-par. The final competitors for the Kingsmen were Nick Friend, Jackson Murrell and Ricardo Torres as they all tied for 10th at 8-over-par.

The Kingsmen are all done with the regular season and compete in the SCIAC Championships Sunday through Tuesday, April 22-24, in Chino Hills, Calif., at the Los Serranos Country Club.
