Meek Selected CoSIDA Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind.— Senior Victoria Rose Meek of Cal Lutheran women's water polo was named to the 2020 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Meek, a center for the Regals, had a 3.92 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while majoring in criminology & criminal justice.

Working hard in the classroom and the pool, Meek (Coronado, Calif.) wrapped up her four-year career with her third CoSIDA Academic All-District honor. This year, she also earned her third All-America honor from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). Meek tallied the fourth-most drawn ejections in program history with 186. This year, in just 12 games, she totaled 26 drawn ejections, 13 goals, six steals and three assists.

The Regals were 8-4 overall and 2-0 in conference before the 2020 season was cancelled. The Purple & Gold was its way to a shot at second straight conference championship and a spot in the USA Water Polo Division III National Championship.

Honorees selected Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 16-19
