Regals Face Tough Opponent in Pomona-Pitzer

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's tennis was at home on Sunday afternoon and hosted the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer. The Sagehens had all the answers and took the dual 9-0. 

The Regals fell in all three doubles matches. Carmen Bufkin and Mina Ahmadi were defeated 3-8 at the No. 1, Lauren Sebastian and Luisa Garcia lost 0-8 at the No. 2, and Gerda Jucys and Kayla Kling were defeated 4-8 at the No. 3.

The Sagehens then took all six singles matches. Bufkin fell 6-7 (2-7), 2-6 at the No. 1, Garcia was defeated 5-7, 0-6 at the No. 2, Sebastian  was swept 0-6, 0-6 at the No. 3, Jucys fell 1-6, 2-6 at the No. 4, Ahmadi was swept 0-6, 0-6 at the No. 5, and Reya Maestas was defeated 3-6, 6-4, 5-10 at the No. 6. 

The Regals have one more game left in the regular season. Cal Lutheran hosts Colorado Col. on Saturday at 10 a.m.
