Regals Golf Ready for SCIAC Championships

CHINO HILLS, Calif. — The Cal Lutheran women's golf team is ready for the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships which will be held Sunday through Tuesday at the Los Serranos Golf Club.

The champion of the SCIAC is determined by three tournaments, the SCIAC No. 1, SCIAC No. 2 and the SCIAC Championships. The championships will have live scoring for each round. You can also find the rosters and standings on the Tournament Central.

The Regals are in third-place heading into the Championships after impressive showings at the SCIAC No. 1 and No. 2. Cal Lutheran shot 663 strokes at the No. 1. They improved at the No. 2 and finished with 654 strokes. They have a total of 1,317 strokes. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is the conference leader heading in with 1,228 strokes. Pomona-Pitzer is second with 1,264.

Individually, Marissa McCardell and Ally Gaskill have led the Regals. McCardell took third at the No. 1 and finished at 11-over-par (75-80-155). Gaskill placed 19th at 22-over-par (86-80-166). At the SCIAC No. 2, McCardell moved up 10 spots on the final tied and placed sixth at 9-over-par (77-75-152). Gaskill made it two Regals in the top-10 as she tied for eighth at 12-over-par (77-79-156).
