Lossangoye Named SCIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran junior Darvel Lossangoye of men's tennis was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Week.

Lossangoye (Libreville, Estuaire, Gabon) was named SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Lossangoye posted a pair of doubles wins during the week as the Kingsmen fell to NAIA foe Westmont, and NCAA Division II Concordia-Irvine. Lossangoye and Shawn Rothermel teamed together on the No. 3 doubles court and battled to a 7-6 (2) victory over their Westmont competition. Lossangoye was again victorious, this time on the No. 2 doubles court against Concorida-Irvine as he and Ryan Murphy secured an 8-5 win. In both of his singles matches, Lossangoye fell at the No. 3 position, 6-1, 6-4 against Westmont, and 7-6 (3), 6-4 against Concordia-Irvine.
