Solters Tied for Fourth, Kingsmen Fifth at Schreiner Shootout

KERRVILLE, Texas Hudson Solters tied for fourth to lead Cal Lutheran men's golf to a fifth-place finish at the Schreiner Shootout. 

The tournament featured eight teams and 51 individuals. Golfers shot 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday at Comanche Trace Golf Club. The Kingsmen finished at 23-over-par with 599 strokes. They recorded 301 strokes on Monday and improved with a 298 on Tuesday. 

Solters tied for fourth and finished at 1-over-par. He shot a 1-under-par 71 in round one and had a 74 in round two for a total of 145 strokes. 

Jot Singh and Aaron Moore made it three Kingsmen in the top-20 and tied for 19th. The duo finished at 6-over-par with 150 strokes. Singh shot a 75 each day while Moore shot a 74 and then a 76. 

JP Guimaraes Jr., Jimmy Solano, and Derek Hahn also competed for the Kingsmen. Guimaraes Jr. placed 29th at 10-over-par (81-73-154), Solano tied for 30th at 11-over-par (80-75-150), and Hahn was 46th at 23-over-par (85-82-167). 

The Kingsmen continued their season next weekend. Cal Lutheran hosts the CLU Kingsmen Invitational on March 13-14.
