Kingsmen Battle Strong Competition at Cal Baptist Invitational

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's golf competed against strong competition at the Cal Baptist Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. 

The Kingsmen took on Division I, II and III teams as they played 36 holes on day one and 18 on day two. The tournament consisted of 13 teams and 84 individuals. The Par for the course was 71. 

Cal Lutheran placed 10th, defeating three SCIAC schools, and finished at 66-over-par. The Kingsmen shot an impressive 293 in round two, but shot 311 and 314 in the first and third round, respectively. The Kingsmen had the fifth-best average on Par 3s with an average stroke total of 3.35. 

Hudson Solters led the Kingsmen and tied for 49th. He finished at 15-over-par with 228 strokes. He recorded a 72 in the second round, but shot a 78 in the first and third. 

Jot Singh tied for 56th with 17-over-par. He also had his best round in the second and carded a 74. He shot 77 in the first and 79 in their third. 

Aaron Moore was right behind Singh and placed 58th. He shot a 73 in the second round and had a 79 in the both the first and third. He finished with 231 strokes at 18-over-par.

Also competing for the Kingsmen was Jimmy Solano and Derek Hahn. Solano placed 61st at 20-over-par (77-74-82-233) and Hahn tied for 64th at 23-over-par (79-79-78-236.
