Kyaw Wins Outing Against Panthers

MOORPARK, Calif. Ryan Kyaw led Cal Lutheran with a 1-over-par 73 as he claimed the individual title against Chapman on Tuesday at Tierra Rejada Golf Club. The Kingsmen and Panthers all played as individuals with no team scoring.

CLU had nine golfers at the event and Chapman shot eight. The event allowed many golfers from each team to compete and fine-tune as the spring season has just started.

Following Kyaw was Craig Thorlakson and he tied for second with a 75.  The Kingsmen made it three in the top-four as Drake Jones fired a 77 on the day.

Tyler Shuster was next and shot a 78 as he tied for sixth. Jake Rosen and Jack Woolslayer tied for 10th as the duo shot an 82.

Jimmy Solano shot an 86 and was 12th, David Brown recorded a 92 and tied for 14th while Jackson Murrell shot a 97 and was 17th

Up next, the Kingsmen get their first taste of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). Cal Lutheran will travel to Chino Hills, Calif., to shoot 36 holes at Los Serranos Golf Club for the SCIAC #1.
