ORANGE, Calif. – Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse hit the road to take on the Panthers of Chapman on Wednesday night. It was all Panthers as they defeated the Regals 23-0.

The Panthers' defense was on point and held the Regals to just three shots, all of which came from Meghan Angus

Sydney Shin led the way with four ground balls and Leila Bauwens added three more. Angus recorded four draw controls and Josie Oparanaku was next with three. Shin, Bauwens, and Oparanaku had one caused turnover each. Bella Bravo was in goal and made 12 saves.

Chapman jumped out to the early lead and was up 10-0 after the first quarter. The Panthers kept the points coming and scored three goals in the second and six in the third. Chapman scored four goals in the fourth quarter as they won the game.

The Regals continue the season on Monday. Cal Lutheran will play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a doubleheader, due to a suspended and cancelled game earlier this year. The game from March 23, which was suspended, will continue with 14:34 left in the second quarter. It will start at 6:30 p.m. The second game, which was cancelled on April 12, will be a non-conference contest and start at 7:15.
