Guidetti Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Senior Kendall Guidetti of Cal Lutheran track & field was named to the 2020 Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Guidetti had a 3.66 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while majoring in marketing communication.

Guidetti (Oak Park, Calif.) was on her way to a four-peat in the long jump at the SCIAC Championships, but had her chance cut short. She will go down as one of the top long jumpers in Cal Lutheran history and holds the record with a distance of 5.85 meters. She is an All-American Honorable Mention in the long jump after finishing 10th at the NCAA Championships in 2019. She has earned two USTFCCA All-Region honors, both in the long jump. Guidetti has been with the program for the past four years, and has competed in long jump, 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4x100 meter relay. This year, she ranked first in the nation for long jump (5.76 meters) and eighth in the 100 meters (12.48).

Honorees selected Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 22-25.
